Allison: map and thoughts

What is the impact of the creative process on the dyslexic student?

Why this: I see new students come into our school with no confidence. When many of them embrace their creativity, they begin to have new attitudes about themselves and want to succeed.

What am I trying to solve : I want to know if the students see how art changes their lives through their own words.

How am I going to solve this question: 3 part process, including an art project that is connected with a homeroom assignment and interviews of the students participating about how they felt about each process and themselves.

What possible outcomes: Hopefully, through the creative process and the interviews, the student will recognize what art/ the creative process gives to them and their disability.

  1. Allison. This map is beautiful. I think what I like so much is how the bleeding watercolor implies the fluid and transactional nature of the ideas.
